About Caring Stones

I had been making jewelry for several years when I discovered Kazuri beads in a small bead store in Connecticut. I became enamored with the bright colors, unusual designs and pleasant feel of the beads. When I learned the Kazuri story, I was determined to create jewelry that featured these lovely beads. That’s why I established Caring Stones.

I create a wide variety of Caring Stones jewelry – each creation is unique depending on how a group of beads “speaks to me”. I use a extensive assortment of accent beads and spacers, including some sterling silver and gold-filled items, silver, gold and copper-plated beads and findings, semiprecious minerals, Swarovski crystals, and glass. All ear wires are sterling silver or gold filled, (except for copper), as are some of the lobster clasps. Many necklaces have built in extenders. I also combine wire wrapping with some of the Kazuri pieces to create unusual items. Although Caring Stones jewelry pieces may seem be similar, no two creations are exactly alike!

My Caring Stones workshop is in my home in Reading Center, NY and I show my jewelry in local shops and art shows around central New York State.

Please peruse my website or visit me at one of this season’s regional art shows. Contact me if you want to learn more about Caring Stones or want to make a purchase. And, I’d be happy to custom design jewelry specifically for you.

Thank you for visiting!

WOULD LIKE TO SEE NECKLACE AND EARRINGS TO MATCH THE BRACELET IN LOWER LEFT CORNER, THE TURQUOISE AND BLUE. I LOVE THE DESIGNS. I BOUGHT A NECKLACE AT WILD WIND CRAFT SHOW IN PITTSFIELD, PA TODAY. MY SISTER BOUGHT THE TURQUOISE AND BLUE NECKLACE AND I BOUGHT THE GRAY AND MAROON NECKLACE. VERY PRETTY!

Hi Nancy. Tell me ideas for necklace and earring designs- ie. long or short (inches); no. Of beads; beads dangling or strung; silver or gold or copper add ons; etc. If you want something similar to what you bought you could text me a picture to (697) 215-3427. If you want to call me we can discuss! Thanks, Jan Tanner
